
Isobel Johnson
Miss Isobel started dancing at age 3 and took over the Granzow Academy in 1964. She was a charter member & soloist with the Princeton Ballet, performing with them for many years. She studied with many Master teachers, including Charles Kelley, Luigi, Phil Black and numerous others. She is a Life Member of Dance Educators of America and is past-president of Dance Masters of America - Chapter 25 where she currently serves on their Board of Directors.
Many Stewart-Johnson graduates have gone on to careers in professional dance, including Complexions Dance Company, Bad Boys of Ballet and numerous shows in Las Vegas, Atlantic City and abroad. Some have opened their own successful dance studios as well.
Since her retirement in 2020, Miss Isobel has become the studio’s official “Dance Critic”, disciplinarian, class sub, game player and biggest supporter ! You can always find her observing a class and would never miss a competition or event that our dancers are attending.

Kim Spolitino
Kim began dancing at 2 at her mother’s studio. As
a child she studied in NYC with Charles Kelley, Frank Hatchet and American Ballet Theater. Her professional career began at 11 years old, where she danced with ABT at Lincoln Center in their Spring performances. Her senior year of high school , she started performing with the group " Menudo " at Radio City Music Hall. That job lead her to tours all over South America, Puerto Rico, Mexico and USA. After graduation, her career took her to Atlantic City where she performed at the Atlantis, Trump Plaza, Trump Marina, Harrahs, Ballys, The Claridge , Sands and Ceasars.
From there, Kim moved to Las Vegas to do " Abracadabra " which ran at the Aladdin Hotel . Working with some of the best dancers in the business , she met up with John Crutchman and Alan Sherfield, who put together a dance group to audition for Star Search. They called themselves " Fusion " and went on to win the $100,000 Grand Prize.
Kim's roots have always been home with the studio and after Star Search, she returned home to work on the East Coast and teach. She performed for many more years in AC and NY and then went on to choreograph at all the casinos.
Kim is now the proud owner of SJDA ,teaches full time and heads the competition program at the studio. Her students have won numerous dance titles, choreography awards and have gone on to perform professionally . She is an active member with DMA and serves on their Board. Kim now enjoys watching her daughter dance professionally and is proud to say she is following in her footsteps as a choreographer and master teacher as well as a performer.

Taylor Spolitino
Taylor Spolitino is a New York–based professional dancer, choreographer, and teacher whose dynamic presence and passion for performance have made her a rising force in the industry. After moving to NYC to pursue a lifelong dream, Taylor has spent the past five years training under and working alongside some of the most renowned choreographers in the business.
Taylor’s performance credits include the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, NYC Fashion week, and numerous stage appearances that reflect both technical excellence and storytelling power.
With a focus on artistry, discipline, and authenticity, Taylor brings a unique energy to every class, empowering the next generation of dancers while continuing to work toward a future in dance.

Marynoel Kilgallon
Marynoel began her early dance training at Knecht Dance Academy in Levittown Pa. She went on to receive a BA degree in Theatre and Dance and a minor in child psychology from DeSales University in Center Valley Pa. She became a member of DMA in 1987 and has been an active member ever since. She is a former President of DMA NYC and attended Teacher's Training School in Buffalo NY.
Marynoel has trained students that have gone on to professional dance careers in ballet companies, Broadway shows, cruise lines, Disney, TV, movies and opened their own studios. She is the teacher of DMA's Miss Dance of America, 2005, 2006, and DMA's Master Dance of America 2005.
Marynoel's greatest loves in life are raising her 4 boys and sharing her passion and love for dance with her students. This year will be her 28th year of teaching.

Holly Lindauer
Holly has been a part of the SJDA family since the age of 3. During her time at the studio, she was a competitive dancer with the company, a soloist and a teacher assistant. After graduating, she went on to become a dancer in Atlantic City’s “Manhattan Magic” Show at the Sands as well as various other gigs at the Borgata and Tropicana.
Holly also attended Rider University where she received a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts. When she is not at the studio, Holly works full time as the Director of The Goddard School of Hamilton.
Holly is dedicated to teaching young dancers a deep appreciation and love for dance. She is grateful and honored to be a part of the SJDA staff and dance family.
When Holly is not teaching , she enjoys spending time with her husband Rob and son Maddox

Kristen Hoagland
Kristen Hoagland is a dancer, choreographer, and teacher. She has studied under the direction of Isobel Johnson, Kimberly Johnson Spolitino, and Sandra Moore. Kristen has been the honored recipient of performance awards and scholarships from numerous competitions and conventions such as Dance Master of America, West Coast Dance Explosion, NYCDA, Legacy, Showstoppers, Onstage NY, and Starpower.
Kristen is currently an ensemble member on the National Tour of Hamilton and has been traveling the US and Canada performing with the show for the past 3 years. She has also toured with the National Tour of West Side Story directed by David Saint, where she played the part of Mugsy, Swing, and u/s Anybodys. She has been a part of two productions at the Goodspeed Opera House, Bye Bye Birdie directed by Jenn Thompson and The Circus in Winter directed by Joe Calarco.
She has had the pleasure of working directly with choreographers AC Ciulla, as his assistant on numerous projects, Luis Salgado, Spencer Liff, Dwight Rhoden, Desmond Richardson, Ivan Koumaev, Mari Madrid, Larry Keigwan, Jeffrey Lapes, Jihan Amoroli, and Michael Susten just to name a few. Kristen was the Assistant Choreographer to Jason Sparks for the new musical, “Propaganda! The Musical” featured in NYMF.
Along with dancing herself she is also a very passionate teacher. Kristen teaches ballet, lyrical, hiphop, musical theater, contemporary, and jazz. Her classes offer a safe environment for dancers to explore their own abilities as well as learn from others. She prides herself in keeping a positive attitude and pushing students harder then they thought possible. Her students have been the recipients of numerous awards at regional and national competitions. Her choreography has also received special awards in every age division. Kristen truly loves sharing her passion with others!
Tyler Stewart
Tyler Stewart, a New Jersey native, began his dance training at the age of four at Stewart-Johnson Dance Academy, later expanding his education at Broadway Dance Center, Steps on Broadway, Peridance Center, Princeton Ballet School, and many conventions and intensives. As a young dancer, Tyler earned numerous regional and national awards.
Since 2014, Tyler has toured extensively across the United States, Europe, and Asia as a soloist and associate artist with SweetBird Productions. He has performed in acclaimed productions such as ROCK the Ballet and ROMEO & JULIET, both choreographed by Adrienne Canterna. A Capezio-sponsored artist, Tyler has appeared in prestigious galas around the world, including YAGP Mexico, Dance Against Cancer NYC, Gala de Danza, the Eurasian Dance Festival with Astana Ballet, Dancers For Good, and many others.
Tyler is also a celebrated choreographer whose work has earned national recognition. His students have received numerous awards and scholarships, and he continues to inspire dancers nationally and internationally through master classes, conventions and intensives.
Angela
Angela began her love for dance at Stewart Johnson Dance Academy, where she trained for 13 years under the direction of Kim Spolitino and Isobel Johnson. She then attended Marymount Manhattan College, completing a BFA with a concentration in Choreography and Composition. While at Marymount, Angela was chosen to compose three pieces that were presented in “Dancers At Work”, a program showcasing exemplary student choreography. While attending school, she also had the opportunity to perform works by Al Blackstone, Robert Battle, and Paul Taylor. After graduating college, Angela began her journey as a dance educator at multiple studios where her students thrived under her direction. She auditioned in 2017 to become a professional dancer for the Philadelphia 76ers, where she was voted Captain in her second season. Angela had the opportunity to lead the team to performances in London, Shanghai, and Shenzhen. One of her most treasured memories is performing at the O2 Arena for the NBA London Game 2018 for a full house!
Angela continues her passion for dance education, currently teaching at her beloved home studio, as well as other studios in the area. She choreographs many competition routines, and recently choreographed a jazz routine for the Monmouth University Dance Team. She often teaches adult drop in classes around New Jersey and Philadelphia. She specializes in teaching jazz, lyrical, and contemporary, as well as strengthening and technique classes. Angela began showcasing her dance education journey on Tik Tok, where she shares helpful tips on training in various elements of dance. Angela prides herself on her relationship with her students, always prioritizing their confidence and safety over all. Her current students have won multiple awards and top placements, including choreography and technique awards. She is also a member of Dance Masters of America Chapter 25. Angela hopes she can continue her path of educating the youth and continuing to spread love and appreciation for the arts for many years to come!

Danielle Gonzalez
Danielle was enrolled at Stewart Johnson Dance Academy in 1997, at 3 years old. She trained under Isobel Johnson and Kim Johnson Spolitino until 2012. During her time as a student at Stewart Johnson, Danielle was a company member and soloist. She spent 15 years developing her craft in Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary and Acrobatics.
At the age of 11, Danielle started her teaching career as an assistant teacher. Throughout her 7 years as an assistant, she developed her love and passion for teaching young dancers.
Danielle obtained her Bachelors degree in an Elementary Education at The College of New Jersey, while simultaneously teaching at SJDA and coaching gymnastics. While at TCNJ, Danielle was a member and choreographer for Synergy Dance Company. Danielle continued her education, pursuing a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration. She worked as a Middle School English Language Arts teacher, before pursuing her current role as a Vice Principal.
Danielle has been a part of training successful dancers at SJDA for 13 years. She has choreographed regional and national award winning group numbers and solos. Danielle is thrilled to continue teaching at SJDA and cannot wait to see what this season holds for our dancers.

Jaela Bristol
Jaela Bristol began her dance training at Stewart Johnson at the age of 2 years old and graduated in 2014. During this time, she also won several State and Regional gymnastics titles with Arena Gymnastics and also competed at the Cheerleading World Championships qualifying 4x. Her cheer team was ranked top 10 World Champions !
In addition to teaching acrobatics, Jaela is a Certified Gymnastics Coach from USA Gymnastics University at Envisions Gymnastics where she coaches USAG Competitive Gymnastics. Her team has won several Team and Individual State Champion and Regional Champion Titles.
Jaela graduated from Rider University and during the day she works at Syneos Health as a Sample Management Specialist .
Her evenings and weekends are jam packed with coaching gymnastics at Envision and teaching acrobatics at SJDA

Paige Swisher
Paige started her dance career at age three at Stewart Johnson Dance Academy where she was trained by Miss Isobel, Miss Kim, and other SJDA staff in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, lyrical, and Contemporary. Paige was a student there for 15 years and is now on their prestigious staff .
Throughout her dance career, Paige performed in multiple plays at Kelsey Theater and Bucks County Playhouse including “Twas The Night Before Christmas “and “The Wizard of Oz “. She also performed in Atlantic City Ballet Theater's production of The Nutcracker for two years.
Outside of all the time spent at the studio, Paige is a full-time Cosmetologist at a salon in Westampton, NJ.
Paige has had amazing success with her competition choreography over the years. Her students have won overall awards in all age groups and last year her Senior Line was unbeatable all season long ! Her main goal in class is to provide a safe, fun environment for every student to be able to let loose and express who they really are. " I was always taught to dance like no one is watching and have fun while doing it and now that is what i like to express to all of my students."
Julianna Gazzillo
Julianna began her lifetime connection to dance and Stewart Johnson Dance Academy at the age of 2. She studied under Isobel Johnson, Kimberly Spolitino, and the rest of the talented faculty of SJDA for 16 years. During her time there, Julianna was a soloist, member of the competition team and Jazz Company, and served as the assistant teacher to the preschool classes.
In high school, Julianna was a member of the RHS Dance Team for four years and finished her senior year as Captain. While studying Elementary Education at the University of Delaware, Julianna taught the preschool summer program at SJDA, and was a certified daycare teacher at Kindercare.
After graduating from UD in 2024, Julianna returned home to a teaching career in the Hamilton Township School District, and joined the SJDA faculty as their Preschool Teacher. It is a pleasure and honor for her to be working alongside the faculty that has become family over the years.
